1879 and 1880 Willows Paperbacks – Set of Two – Exceptional

This is an Excellent set of two  Willows Wisden editions, the 1879 and the 1880. The sixteenth and seventeenth editions.

Externally both are excellent. It is presumed that internally they are also super, as each still retains its removable transparent cover and promotional band.

Two wonderful editions!!! Interestingly the original sales receipt for the 1879 is under the promotional band.

Willows reprints from 1879 onwards have been in exceptional demand in recent years and the prices have shot up. They are very very difficult to find and I am truly sorry that the price is so high. This is not me taking advantage but the prices that are being paid to sellers has literally gone through the roof.

Both editions are numbered. The 1879 Willows comes from the print run of 1,000. The 1880 had an initial print run of 250, then a second run of 250 – this is from the second run. Owing to the scarcity of Willows editions it does not really matter which run an issue comes from.
