1896 Wisden Rebound Paperback – UNUSUAL

This is a SUPER condition 1896 Wisden Rebound Paperback. The 33rd edition.

The 1896 Wisden is referred to as The Grace Edition as it contains an article and the career to date details along with recollections of the great man.

This rebound edition has super boards. The year and title to both the front and the spine.

Internally this is a very unusual edition – it seems at some point that the pages within came from an original hardback 1896, as the internal paste down pages from a hardback are present.  It may well have transpired that a previous owner had the internal pages and paste downs removed from a hardback edition and rebound into the current boards. The original hardback boards may well have been damaged.

Internally the front and rear hinges and the pages within are in super condition.

The WG Grace photo-plate is present and in Very Very Good condition, as is the facing tissue guard.

The page block is super.
