1939 Wisden Soft Back – Decent Condition

£75.00 £60.00

This is a Decent condition 1939  Wisden Soft Back. The 76th edition.

The original front and rear soft back wrappers are in decent condition –  they are both bright and clean – with ageing to the outside edges. The rear cover is aged more.

The spine is straight and also in good condition – it is  lighter than the covers but this is typical for the year.

Internally, the pages within are again in decent to good condition. There is some page edge curling to the corners and somer dustiness to the odd internal page.

The page block is dusty and aged.

Contents Include:
The Late Lord Hawke.
Cricket At The Crossroads – DG Bradman.
Cricket Conundrums by AER Gilligan.
FH Woolley in First-Class Cricket.
Australians in England.
Notes By The Editor.
Public Schools Cricket.
County Champions: Yorkshire.
Fixtures for 1939.
Sheffield Shield 1937-38: New South Wales.

“Stripped to the truth he was a solitary man with a solitary aim” (RC Robertson-Glasgow on Don Bradman)
