1941 Wisden Hardback – Very Good+ Condition and UNIQUE

£625.00 £437.50

A Very Good+ condition 1941 Wisden Hardback. The 78th edition.

The boards on this, one of the rarest of all Wisdens, are in lovely condition. They are strong and firm , just the very minor odd bump and lightest fold to the top of the front board (and I mean lightest).  The gilt to the front is strong, the spine – typically – has dulled.

Internally the front and rear hinges are in lovely condition and the contents within are very very good, odd minor ageing on a few pages.

This edition comes from the Kent County Cricket Club collection and it has been lovingly looked after. There is a Kent CCC stamp at the top of the first right-hand page.

The page block is also very very good.

Contents Include:
Herbert Sutcliffe’s Career.
Verity’s Bowling.
Matches at Lord’s in 1940.
Notes on the 1940 Season.
Some Dates In The History of Cricket.
London Counties.
Public Schools Cricket.
Five Cricketers of the Year, 1889-1940.
