1912 Wisden Hardback – Very Good+
£900.00 £720.00
A Very Good+ condition 1912 Wisden Hardback edition. The 49th almanack.
Finding Wisden Hardbacks from pre-World War One is tricky and finding them in very very good condition is trickier still.
This edition has strong boards, there is dustiness/slight ageing to the top of the front and the top of the rear boards. There is rubbing to the outside board edges, this is normal for a book over 112 years old. The gilt to the front board is splendid.
The spine is in very very good condition – typically it has some very light creasing, the gilt again is super.
Internally the pages within are also in very very good condition and the photo plate and tissue guard likewise. The hinges to the inside front and to the inside rear are very very good. There is some ageing to the odd internal page.
The page block is dusty. For a 1912 hardback this edition is in very good+ condition.
