1932 Wisden Hardback – Very Good+

This is a Very Good to Very Good+ condition 1932 Wisden Hardback edition. The 69th edition.

Finding a 1932 Hardback intros good a condition is not easy. John Wisden & Co had numerous production issues from the 1927 almanack until the 1932; cut backs resulted in compromises being made on the materials used and as a result these years are often in good or less condition.  For each of the years mentioned a small number of editions – usually for staff or celebrated readers – were printed to a higher specification.

This edition has very good+ condition front and rear boards – there is minor some bumping to the corners. The gilt to the front is lovely.  The spine is in very good+ condition, it has rubbing to the top and the foot, the board itself is strong and the gilt is lovely.

Internally the hinges are, for a 90+ year-old edition rather lovely and the yellow paste-down pages are also in lovely condition. The page within are in bright, clean and devoid of any major ageing – they are also in very very good  condition.

The page block is a little dusty, but overall – good.
