1933 Rebound Wisden Paperback – Very Good+
£65.00 £52.00
This is a Very Good+ condition 1933 Rebound Paperback Wisden. The 70th edition.
The boards on this edition are lovely. The binding has the Foyles of London feel to it and it is likely, according to the previous owner, that the binding was done probably in the 1940’s or early 1950’s.
The edition within the binding lacks its original front and rear wrappers, the advertisements to the front and rear are present. There is a small corner of the first advertising page lacking.
The boards, as can be seen on the photograph, are patterned. They are strong and solid, with minimum ageing. The front board is blank, the year and title are to the spine. A Volume number is also on the spine, the original family member who had the set rebound had some years bound together, ie: 1864,65,66 and 67 – he had that named Volume 1. This edition is Vol. 44.
Internally this is a tight clean Wisden. The trim is tight to some advertising pages, overall the pages within are in lovely condition.
The page block is very good.
