1947 Wisden Hardback

Thank you for looking at this LOVELY condition  1947 Hardback Wisden. The 84th year.

The front and rear boards of this edition are in LOVELY condition, they are both strong and firm. The gilt on the front is lovely and bright.
The spine is strong and the gilt has dulled. This edition comes with a John Wisden & Co approved Wisdenworld produced dust jacket.The jacket has the ‘Woodcutters’ image upon the front along with a synopsis of the contents.

Internally the inside front and rear pages are in super condition, the inside front page is a little tight to the opposite page. The pages within are in super condition.

The 1947 Wisden was produced using inferior paper owing to shortages after the end of WW2, so the page block on the vast majority of hardbacks is often brown and dusty. The page block on this edition is super.
